About Me

Each day as an educator I dig into my teacher toolbox, reflecting on past experiences with students and learning from mentors who have guided and inspired me. I pride myself on my ability to connect with students and parents of all backgrounds, stepping into their shoes with an empathetic approach. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary/Special Education and earned a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education with professional certifications in Students with Disabilities and Early Childhood Education (Birth-2nd grade).

I have been working with children in a variety of settings including camps, schools, and in the home for well over 10 years in the New York Metropolitan Area. As I get to know your family and your children, I will assess them through four domains:

  • physical (gross and fine motor skills)

  • cognitive (academic strengths)

  • receptive and expressive language

  • social-emotional (self-regulation skills)

My focus will be on creating a nurturing and non-judgemental mindset leading into each session. I look forward to modeling and scaffolding meaningful strategies which you can practice on your own, gaining confidence and harmony at home.
